All our staff are committed to providing our patients with a therapeutic experience that is healing from the moment a person calls us on the phone or walks in the door. Our group of expert integrative physicians and a nurse practitioner are trained in conventional, alternative and complementary medicine and treatments. Our integrative health practitioners are committed to high quality patient centered care that makes use of all appropriate therapeutic approaches. Our administrative staff is available to provide patients and practitioners with the support they need to ensure each patient feels heard and cared for.

Marc Brodsky, M.D., is Medical Director of the Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness. He is board certified in family medicine and completed a fellowship in integrative medicine at UCLA. As a physician with extensive training in traditional allopathic medicine and complementary and alternative medicine disciplines, Dr. Brodsky comes to Stamford Hospital from UCLA, where he was an Assistant Clinical Professor under the Department of Medicine.

Steven Horowitz, M.D., is Chief of Cardiology, Chairman of the Advisory Committee, Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness and directs the Integrative Cardiology program. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.

Joseph Feuerstein, M.D., is Director of Integrative Medicine. A medical doctor specializing in family medicine, he completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, School of Medicine, where he trained directly under the renowned natural physician, Dr. Andrew Weil. In this two-year program, Dr. Feuerstein studied a wide range of CAM modalities with special emphasis on nutrition and disease prevention. Dr. Feuerstein is also certified in Clinical Hypnosis and Clinical Acupuncture.

Daryl Wieland, M.D. practices gynecology at the Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness. The Associate Residency Program Director at Stamford Hospital, she is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Wieland joins us from Jacobi Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Ashley Maltz is completing a 2-year Fellowship in integrative medicine at Stamford Hospital’s Center for Integrative Medicine & Wellness and the University of Arizona. She earned her Medical Degree and Master in Public Health from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, TX. Dr. Maltz completed a combined Internal and Preventive Medicine Residency at UTMB. Dr. Maltz's specific interests include helping her patients and populations improve their health through lifestyle interventions including, but not limited to, nutrition, exercise, mind-body techniques and decreasing environmental exposures.

Kathleen Sanders, FNP, is Program Director of Mind-Body Medicine. Ms. Sanders is board certified as a family nurse practitioner, has a master's degree in public health, and completed a fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona with Dr. Andrew Weil and is a Bravewell Collaborative Fellow. Kathleen is also certified in Clinical Hypnosis. She is trained in Peg Huddlestion's Prepare for Surgery Health Faster program as well as Mindful-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) from the University of Massachusetts Jon Kabot Zinn program and Mindful Based Eating (MB-Eat).

Mary Henwood-Klotz is the Director of the Integrative Medicine and Mobile Wellness Centers at Stamford Hospital. In addition to overseeing these Centers, Ms. Henwood worked with hospital leadership in September 2010 to launch the first Hospital-based Domestic Violence Medical Advocacy program in Connecticut. Prior to joining Stamford Hospital in 2006, Henwood-Klotz was vice president for the American Cancer Society, New York City. Henwood-Klotz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from American University and a Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University.
